Grandpa Tucker is now at peace. He has left us a legacy of giggles and silly poems and Sammy Snake. We will miss him and remember his admonition to "Keep Smiling!"

Welcome from Grandpa Tucker
Hope you'll find a smile.

Try some of these:

jesterSilly Poems   These are short (and shorter) silly poems for kids. They include special holiday and seasonal verse and in the Poetry Pencil you will find poems written by kids. We will be happy to get your reactions.

Sammy Snake and balloonsStories and Tales   These we hope you will read to your children and then discuss them just to get their reaction. The stories are written in verse. Most carry a message but no serious sermon. Speakers are well aware that humor gets the attention of a group. Well, it's true with children. The many great teachers I have known use humor to create a positive atmosphere. How well do you function in a situation that is constantly tense? In these stories I attempt to get their attention with a laugh and, while we have it, make a point. Again, we request your reactions.

Happy familyRhyme Time Fun   Family language projects can be fun. We start with some ideas for writing a poem with your child. I am an old guy and am used to rhyme and think children can have fun fooling with language through rhyme. I envy a number of friends who can express themselves so well in free verse. We're not fighting any battles here, we just hope you'll have the joy of putting your thoughts together. Let us know how you are doing. We would love to see your results.
