TELL ME, DADDY

Dad reads to son
Tell me Daddy, do you know,
What gives the lightening bug its glow?
Does it use a tiny battery,
Or fuel from a tank that we can't see?

Does a fairy take black paint in jugs
And sprinkle spots on ladybugs?
Does a handy elf put slow in snails,
And wind the wags in puppies' tails?

Admit it, Dad. I think it's so,
That these are things we'll never know.
This is stuff that God must do.
I believe this, Dad. Don't you?
