So Low

A giraffe looks in my window
At the same time every night.
He just appears with silly ears
When I turn out the light.

I tell him of the things I do
And what I hope to be.
He tells me of the tasty leaves,
That grow on top the tree.

One night he didn't look so good,
His eyes seemed filled with pain.
I asked him what the problem was
He said, "I must explain.

"My knees are hurting pretty bad
And my long neck is sore.
I really do enjoy our talks
But I can't take much more.

"And so I've come to make a plea
To a friend I just adore.
I know a way my pain could heal:
MOVE UP TO THE SECOND FLOOR!!"
