Pitiful Paul, the Ping Pong Ball

Nick the Stick looks at Pitiful Paul
Pitiful Paul, the ping pong ball,
Had always dreamed of being tall
But other things thought he was cool.
They had to walk, he rolled to school.

Nick, the stick, was quick to grin
But inside thought he was too thin,
Was jealous when Paul was around
Because he wished that he were round.

Ralph, the rock, was cute and such
But worried that he weighed too much.
Rosie Red knew envy, too.
She wished to look like Betty Blue.

And so it goes, I don't know why,
We want to be the other guy.
Don't fret about your looks or shape.
My gosh, you might have been an APE!!
