Make Milk Your Ilk

Little Donnie, Fizz Silly, Wilk
Decided not to drink his milk.
And though his mother tried and tried,
"Throw it out," the young boy cried.

He filled his body up with fizz
And claimed, "Soft drinks are where IT is!
I think that milk sales are in trouble
Till cows can make that white stuff bubble."

His mom said, "Son, here's what we'll do.
We'll stir some chocolate in for you."
He interrupted as she spoke,
"Just slip that chocolate in my Coke™"

In bed he thought he was alone.
Until he heard from one leg bone,
"Young man we need to have a talk
Since you need me each time we walk.

"All the bones within your body
Are being treated really shoddy.
You must consider, cause it's true,
How strong we grow depends on you.

"We bones and muscles hold our breath
Cause soda pop might cause our death.
Your mind could have a sudden lapse.
Your bellybutton might collapse.

"Your eyes then fill with cola tears
As noisy gas shoots out your ears!
When a body's on fizz overload
The whole things liable to explode.

"You cannot grow both straight and tall
And give us bones no milk at all.
Fizzy drinks tickle your belly
But make us bones weak as jelly.

"Your head's not just to park your hat.
In there is where your brains are at.
So wake 'em up and start to think
And reconsider what you drink.

"Your friend, the cow, has chewed her cud
To process milk that builds strong blood.
Prepared with care and a loving 'moo'
No wonder milk's so good for you.

"Your mother's right, my little lad,
The stuff you're drinking's really bad.
Give us a chance for goodness sake
Please switch to milk so we won't break."

Now Donnie Wilk has grown real tall.
He's smart and stars in basketball.
His friends all think he's really hip
With that milk mustache on his lip.

He's strong and tough, skin smooth as silk.
Take his advice and drink that milk.
You'll make your mothers all surprised,
When you order up homogenized.

To make this switch will bring great joy
For the parents of each girl and boy.
Then everyone will cheer and say,
"There are healthy kids in the USA."

So all the world will look with pride
At you, with milk there by your side.
And America will be on top,
While the others drink old Sody Pop!!
