IF I WERE KING

If I were king, I would be wise
And wear a crown above my eyes.
I’d dress myself in fine king stuff
And wear a hankie in my cuff.

I’d have the first king’s wireless phone
And play Nintendo from my throne.
Then I would make a royal wish
For blackbirds in a dainty dish.

I’d let the people eat some cake,
Cause they deserve some, goodness sake.
I would be nice and make a vow
To smile at each one as they bow.

I’d be so happy just to see
That Dad was really proud of me.
And when my family came to stay,
I’d make my mom, Queen for a Day!
