The Family Vampire

There was a vampire under my bed
He was not moving, but he was not dead.
He had pointy teeth, and one green eye,
Then someone cried, "You're gonna die!"
I ran to my mom, she was not there.
Then I saw it's shadow on the stairs.
I knew it was coming after me,
I could feel it's hot breath on my knee.
When I looked down, it had shoes on.
It turned and ran. Man, it was gone!
It wasn't a vampire! Here's how I knew:
That thing was wearing my brother's shoe.
I'll bet my brother's worried now
Cause he knows I'll get him back somehow.
