As Sammy entered his small new city, He was warmly welcomed by a small brown kitty. The kitty said, "Snake, what is your name?" "The name is Sammy, care to join me in a game?" The kitty said, "My name is Tom, I'll play you in chess." Sammy said, "You better beware 'cause I'm the best." After they played, they went to Tom's house Where they met, a nice little mouse. The mouse said, "My name is Jake." Then he said hello to the cat and the snake. Jake said, "Would you join me and toss 'round this ball I have few friends since I moved here last fall. At first Sammy was scared to leave his old town, But now he has friends who help him around. His new adventure has just begun, And he looks forward to the oncoming fun. Poem by Dexter Davis |
